He was attentive, knowledgeable, available, and tuned in to the difference between little things that were truly little and other little things that could make a big difference. That was precisely the kind of insight we needed and appreciated. The virtual tour he prepared by arranging and editing a drone fly-through of our home left every person who watched it impressed and aware that even in a pandemic, Steve was out in front figuring out how to help our house stand out. We interviewed several highly recommended local agents, but from the moment we met Steve, we knew he was "the one". We couldn't have asked for a better realtor to guide us through the process of both buying and selling in Oak Park than Steve. Though much of our online research indicated we should use different agents to buy and sell, our search for a buyers’ agent did not produce anyone as prepared, organized, knowledgeable and easy to work with as Steve. During our experience with Steve, we had the impression that he was quite busy and in demand. Despite this demand, we never felt forgotten or unattended to. Steve made a point of making time for us and was always prompt when answering emails, phone calls, and requests for meetings. In his communication, he was always clear and concise yet through taking the time to make sure all of our questions were answered and we were satisfied moving forward. As clients, I felt we required a great deal of hand-holding and were perhaps a bit high maintenance. Steve never faltered and treated us with the same care and attention on day one as on the day of closing. We recommend him highly and without reservation.

I happened to find Steve just through a web search and he turned out to be the best realtor in Oak Park! His knowledge of the town is extensive, and his knowledge about older homes is so valuable to know which homes to avoid, which are good and just need cosmetic updates. He was patient, thorough and made himself very available to us for questions, countless showings, and never pressured us to spend more than we wanted. Oh, and he was a great negotiator too! If we could give Steve more stars we would! We were first-time home buyers and new to Oak Park. Steve worked with us over the course of 6 months to find our perfect home. He took time to show us a variety of houses he knew we likely weren't going to buy simply to truly understand our likes and dislikes. Steve grew up in the neighborhood and is an expert on the different quadrants - he cleared up misconceptions we had in our heads and gave specific answers to all of our questions. He was extremely honest which we needed and appreciated. When we saw the house we were considering, we knew based on his guidance and reaction that we weren't going to find something comparable in our price range. I could not imagine if we hand't moved forward as there has not been a single home pop up since that we would have otherwise considered! Steve was right. Being a first time purchaser, we had a TON of questions and Steve was always available and happy to answer them via text, phone or email. He never passed us off to someone else in his office and the communication was streamlined and thorough. Steve also knows everyone in the home buying industry. He gave us several recommended contacts from mortgage companies, inspectors & lawyers leading up to the purchase and cleaners, electricians, painters, etc. for the post-purchase in addition to walking us through all of the neighborhood "dos and don'ts". While we will now try to stop bothering him, we know we can reach out to Steve at any time with additional questions. He'll be getting our Christmas cards now for sure!
